We have a brand new packaging for Canella Prosecco D.O.C. inspired by our first bottles:
in the late 1940s, Giovanna Canella ran a cozy little osteria or tavern called “Forte del ’48” near Venice, in San Donà di Piave. Her son Luciano was in charge of bottling the bulk wine he bought from a selection of local producers, which would then be sold at the family tavern. At that time, bottles were at a premium and would be used again and again, with a simple neck tag attached to identify their contents at any given moment.
Today, seventy years on, we have decided to create a commemorative edition Prosecco, whose packaging revisits those very first Canella bottles.
