A 100th birthday is something to be celebrated in style – especially if the birthday boys/girls are in fact between 18 and 35, and artists to boot. Saturday, December 17 at noon, should you be in Venice – in the heart of the world’s most romantic city, piazza San Marco – do join us for complimentary Bellini cocktails at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa Art Gallery, for the 100th Collective Exhibition for Young Artists – Collettiva Giovani Artisti.
The inauguration of the show, which will continue until January 22, 2017, is also, as always, the occasion to announce the scholarship winners who will get their own exhibition in a year’s time, Borsisti della 99ma Collettiva.
This year saw over 250 submissions from the three regions involved – Veneto, Friuli and Trentino; 22 of the artists were selected and will be toasted Saturday with the rosy glitter of Bellini glasses… Suitably enough: the Venetian duchess, Felicita Bevilacqua La Masa, who set up the Foundation in favor of young artists over a century ago, would have approved.
