Riviera fun & Bellini pink

Are you ready for the “Pink Night” on the Adriatic Riviera? Also known as the “Summer New Year’s Eve” for its all-night festivities, “Notte Rosa” celebrates the region’s longtime tradition of hospitality and fun in a series of concerts, plays, installations, readings, shows, talks and glittering events that light up the entire coastline from Riviera di Comacchio to Cattolica, via such famous seaside resorts as Rimini, Riccione, Cesenatico… This year’s edition is set for the 3rd of July… So those of you celebrating stateside, close your eyes and imagine the scintillating lights and fireworks on the other side of the ocean! As Italy’s pink cocktail per eccellenza, Bellini could not miss this chance to sparkle and dance along the 110 kilometers of Adriatic coastline.

The Shortlist to Launch 10,000 cases

Our second edition of “Canella Bellini for Art” was a smashing success. Bottle case designs came in from Fine Arts Academies and Universities all over Italy and the quality standard was living proof of this country’s vocation for creativity.

Choosing artists that would make up the shortlist was a tough job – and a pleasure.

We are now delighted to announce their names:

Enrica Artusi, Giuseppe Paolucci, Antonio Turrisi, Maddalena Bellin, Marco De Nobili with Riccardo Finotto, Mattia Cerquetti & Noemi Durighello, Sofia Perazzolo, Tommaso Barbiero and Viola D’Andrea.

Out of this shortlist, we are going to pick the winner and announce his or her name on July 13, during the yearly celebrations for the peach harvest. The venue, needless to say, is our Bellini peach grove at San Donà di Piave.

Besides the prizes, the winning design is going to be the prototype for a 10,000 run of Bellini 750 ml cardboard bottle cases, and feature in our Canella Bellini for Art Collection.

Merum, Germany’s Celebrated “Insider Magazine on Italian Wine,” Awards our 2015 Prosecco DOCG “Two Hearts” Recognition

Some accolades make us particularly proud. When the recognition comes from an independent German magazine whose focus is entirely on the wines of Italy, for instance.

By definition, Merum is a labor of love. Unsurprisingly, it has chosen little heart icons as its scoring system and our 2015 Canella Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG Brut has just been awarded two hearts, which stand for “a very lovely wine we would like to have a small stock of in our cellars.”

Danke schön to a very lovely wine publication!
