December 12 through 20, Venetian solidarity showcases Venetian style and craftsmanship at the Titian Hall of “the Zattere”, short for Cultural Center Don Orione Artigianelli alle Zattere: 150 square meters adjacent to the Renaissance cloister of the Church of Santa Maria della Visitazione. Entry is free, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is the first edition of the show, simply called “Merry Christmas to All” – the “All” in question comprising 107 disabled persons supported by the Don Orione Center of Chirignago-Venice.
We’re going to be there with complimentary Bellini cocktails, toasting to a better future for these 107 persons, a better world, and the authentic Christmas spirit.
The volunteer in question is called Andrea Gris, journalist and documentary filmmaker whose experience in support of the Bosco Children project in Addis Abeba and the missionary work of don Angelo Regazzo has become an exhibition and a charity auction. Out of forty photographs on show (curated by Alberto Bregani), fifteen are being auctioned to benefit Bosco Children and don Regazzo’s work in Africa. The venue is Casa dei Tre Oci and famous photographer Denis Curti is selecting the pictures. Date is December 12, time is 6 p.m., the toast, of course, is a complimentary Bellini cocktail.
